Shell Sensations

Shells are the homes that house many incredible invertebrate (animals without backbones) creatures God has created! In this fascinating workshop, students will sort a kit of over 25 shell variations; comparing, grouping, and identifying each one. Then in a short visual presentation many Biblical and scientific applications may be learned. The integration of many larger demonstration specimens adds a firsthand look at the design features of each shell group. Comparing with FOSSIL shells provides the understanding of separate groups that have multiplied “after kind” then applying the Biblical history of Creation (design) Corruption (disease and death) Catastrophe (Flood and the Ice Age following) and Christ (who is the Creator-Sustainer-Judge-and Redeemer).

An on-site “Fossil Shell Dig” on the Museum grounds gives a firsthand experience in collecting techniques and helps to recognize the types of fossil varieties that compare with the modern forms.

This Florida adventure in learning is sure to spark many questions and give many answers that will encourage further study in science and God’s Word.
Fossil specimens collected may be taken home. A modern shell is also included in the take home as well.
