(1)Bank Location Hunt: This can be arranged as the follow-up to the Orientation workshop either the same day (ex: morning-afternoon 9:30-4:00) or two separate days.
Tools for this fantastic experience are provided by the Museum. They include screens or sifters, shovels, and collection pouches.
There are a number of easy access river bank locations. One of these locations will be chosen to accommodate the age group participating. There will be approximately 2 hrs. allowed for this experience then returning to the Museum Workshop for recording and identification of finds. Data sheets will be provided to record any of the more important finds that will be later reported to the State Museum by the Museum curator under state permit. Prizes may be included for special finds as designated. Specimens may be taken home unless requested for Museum research or donation by the curator.
This experience requires separate costs, separate from the Orientation workshop. *Same day arrangements may reduce individual costs.
Total Time: 2.5-3 hrs.
